Here we are in Kinsale, drying out the boat and contents, whilst rehydrating ourselves (Murphy's for me, Carlsberg for Richie). We had a great race from Plymouth, started by the gun from HMS Iron Duke and a beautiful sail along the bottom of Cornwall to the Scillies. The spinnaker run to Kinsale gave us many challenges, with a confused sea creating lots of broaches - maybe good practice for the coming legs? In the meantime, I've given an interview for Radio Cornwall - they're following the progress of the cornish sailors among is - much to my Dad's delight! The forecast for our next leg, to Barra in the Outer Hebrides, looks like a hard beat of 430 miles into the teeth of 30kt+ winds. We'll let you know in a few days how that one goes!
